  • NEARLY OUT OF PRINT: The Ever Expanding Elastic Waste Band CD
Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE! ONLY 25 UNITS AT THE TIME OF THIS POSTING!! THIS CD WILL NOT BE PRESSED AGAIN!!!

This was the debut album of Vapors of Morphine, except it wasn't.

In 2009 Jerome, Dana and Jeremy started their mutual journey into Low Rock in preparation for concerts in tribute to the 10th anniversary of Mark Sandman's death. They landed a weekly gig, Wednesdays at Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge, a few blocks from Sandman's old studio apartment. Demand was discovered to begin setting up shows around the US. Wanting something to help promote tours, the band hastily combined a few extant studio tracks with snippets from early Atwood's shows.

The trio had not even agreed on a name for themselves, alternately billing shows as "Lyons, Colley, Deupree;" "Members of Morphine;" "The Elastic Waste Band;" and, finally, "The Ever Expanding Elastic Waste Band," causing management no end of irritation. Needless to say, the band was only trying to entertain themselves at this point. To be honest, Vapors of Morphine was not yet fully formed, and we are glad we weren't calling ourselves that yet.

But we think you'll enjoy this album regardless.

lyrics

Know

Know I ain’t got nothin’ for you, baby
Know I ain’t got no kinda wealth
Know I ain’t got nothin’ for nobody
But I can’t live with nobody else

I know that I ain’t never met nobody
Makes me feel so much like myself
I know I don’t want no other woman
‘Cause I can’t live with nobody else

I know that I ain’t never gonna have ya
I know I just can’t live by myself
If I can’t have ya, life just ain’t worth livin’
‘Cause I can’t live with nobody else
